Musicphilic Winds was established as a community band in September 2008, which aims at providing an open, independent and background-free music-making place for musicians.
Over the years, Musicphilic Winds has successfully held numerous anniversary concerts, inviting various art performance groups to collaborate on performances, including Double Mallet Ringers, SDM Jazz & Ballet Academie, Piano soloist Mr. Cedric Chan, Trumpet soloist Mr. Fung Ka Hing, and Saxophone soloist Dr. Wong Tak Chiu.
The "-philic" of "Musicphilic" means affinity. The name "Musicphilic" represents that we are a group of music lovers and players who have an affinity for music, who are able to communicate through music, and moved by music.
